Preschool Parents,

 With the price of gas, many summer plans will be changed. It does not mean that there will be no summer fun! There are many things to do right here in our own backyard. When planning an outing remember that preschool children have short attention spans and need to move. They enjoy physical activities, exploring, and talking. Here are some local outing possibilities:

Ø  Kenner and Jefferson Library Programs

Ø  Vacation Bible School

Ø  Lafreniere Park (Carousel)

Ø  Storyland (City Park)

Ø  Zoo

Ø  Audubon Insectarium (New)

Ø  Children’s Museum

Ø  Aquarium

Ø  Instagator Ranch (August)

Ø  Posh Paint

Ø  Global Wildlife

You might call ahead and ask for costs and what activities they offer to fit you family’s needs. As you can see there are great places to have fun right here in your own backyard!

The 2008 – 2009 school year will begin on September 2^nd, information will be mailed by the middle of August. If you have not registered your preschooler, please do so quickly as 80 percent of the classes are full.

If you need to contact the Preschool Office this summer, please do not hesitate to leave a message on the machine, it will forward to the director’s cell phone.
